Kanze Dena is a Kenyan journalist and Television host currently serving as the Statehouse Spokesperson and Head of President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) of the Republic of Kenya.

Kellen Beatrice Kanze Dena was born on April 12, 1980, to a single mother and is one of six children born to her mother. She has four sisters and a brother.

Kanze Dena was born and raised in the Duruma subtribe of the Mijikenda community in Kwale County.
As per her educational background, Kanze Dena attended the Kianjokoma Boarding School (now known as St Mathews Mixed Boarding Primary School) in Embu before proceeding to Kyeni Girls High School which is also in Embu.

Kanze later enrolled at the Foundation College of Professional Studies where she studied Journalism and Mass Communication before starting her career as a journalist for the Kenya Broadcasting Company.
