NDC And NPP Now Have 137 Seats Each In Parliament After NDC Won The Sene West Parliamentary Seat

Two of Ghana’s biggest problems, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) now have 137 seats each in parliament after the NDC won the Sene West parliamentary seat after a vigorous collation.

Ghana now has a hung parliament but according to the NDC, they still insist that they won 140 seats which makes them the majority in parliament.

After a vigorous collation, the NDC’s Kwame Ampofo Twumasi won with 13,116 against the NPP’s Joseph Markay Kuma who pulled 13,100 per the provisional results.

The NDC won with a very slim margin of 16 votes and the counting was done in the presence of NPP’s Dan Kwaku Botwe, and the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
